It is inevitable that traditional cultures will be lost as technology develops. Technology and traditional cultures are incompatible. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

In the contemporary era, it is argued that the developments in advanced technology will cause the disappearance of conventional customs. Analogous to a double-edge sword, this phenomenon has both positive and negative effects. While its drawbacks should be taken into consideration, certain intrinsic benefits, according to my perspective, can counteract such disadvantages albelt to a certain extent. On the one hand, the blending of cultures nowadays would create a profound attraction to the awareness of the youth as well as make them gradually forget about the old traditions due to wide promotions through social media. For instance, people now can approach different cultures around the world more easily than in the past thanks to globalization. Nevertheless, the large number of adolescents tend to pay greater attention to several flamboyant cultures, especially their languages. Therefore, some of them often have false biases to to use a range of foreign words to alter vernacular vocabularies in daily communications to make them become more luxurious and classy than average people. By contrast, this trend will not only ruin the beauty of traditional customs but also create the loss in native language. On the other hand, contributions of technical improvements to the growth of conventional cultures should be highly appreciated as it is widely advertised to the public. Without access to the internet, only a few of ethnic groups would conduct traditional activities occurring in certain regions. On the contrary, owing to sophisticated technology, an increasing amount of people living in urban cities can learn as well as understand deeply about traditional values passed down through generations. Therefore, cultural barriers will vanish and long-lasting customs can be well-known and respected by others. As a result, people can successfully preserve, along with maintain ritual ceremonies by organizing them occasionally in special holidays. In brief, some people still believe that many traditional lifestyles will be eliminated because of progressive technology. On the contrary, in reality, a number of conventional customs around the world have survived and flourished due to technological developments.
