it is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. punishemnt is necessary to help them learn this distinction. to what extent do you agree or duagree with this opinion? what sort of punishment should parent and teacher be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children?

Children do many wrong things knowingly or unknowingly. This may need attention and children should be corrected at that moment. It is believed that it is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at and early age and that punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. I firmly agree with the proposed statement and the reasons for my inclination are articulated in the forthcoming paragraphs. To commence with, there are plethora of reasons for my inclinatio0n to the given statement, out of which the most prominent one is that if the child is punished for something that he has done wrong, the next time before doing something wrong, he will remember that he was punished. For instance, if a child is punished for breaking glass mug because he was not given a toy, the next time he wishes to break the glass, he would remember that he was punished for it earlier. Apart form this, punishments help the child to learn the difference between good and bad things from an very early age. If a child is punished for doing something wrong, he will realize his mistake. If a small child is not given a toy or not bought a toy as a part of his punishment, he will realize his mistake and would not repeat it. On the other hand, some other people believe that punishment is not the way to teach child difference between right and wrong, the reasons for which are that it is not necessary that a child would understand if he has been punished. If a child has been given lot of punishments, he gets used to it and thinks that nothing 9will happen but he will be given a small punishment. He would not be able to realize where he was wrong or what was his mistake and he will continue repeating that mistakes over and over again. Apart from this, punishment is not the only option, instead they can be told about their mistakes and taught where they were wrong and can improve about their wrong things. For instance, if a child speaks rudely to an elderly person, instead of punishing him, he could be taught there he should not talk in a rude manner and asked to apologize. In a nutshell, I hereby again favor my opinion that punishing a child makes him understand his mistakes and know how he should improve on it. Punishment would create a sense of fear in child so that before doing anything wrong, hw would think about the punishment given to him earlier.
