In today's global scenario, pollution is one of the major environmental problem faced by the people all over the world. Some people argue that the industrial pollution can be controlled by charging tariff to those companies that causing pollution, there is a another school of thought which believes that there are various other method to tackle this issue. Therefore, this essay discusses both the proportions and arrives at an opinion.
More than half of the pollution is associated with the emissions from the factories and other industries, therefore its controlling is an essential matter. Implementing taxes to the companies gradually leads to a decrease in the problems dealt with pollution. It increases organisations sense of responsibility towards the environment. Moreover, the amount collected as in the form of tax can be utilised by the authorities for the rehabilitation of the people affected by the pollution.
On the other hand, certain population is in the opinion that there are other efficient method to mitigate the industrial pollution. Firstly, installing purifier or other pollution controlling machines may be a possible method to control the problem. For instance, in developed countries, installation of pollution purifiers are compulsory. It is a tangible example that the pollution can be easily handled. Secondly, using biogas instead of fossil fuels can also be another effective way to reduce the issue. Thus, both the pollution controlling equipments and the biogas can help the retardation of pollution in the atmosphere.
To sum up, although charging heavy taxes to the industries can reduce the pollution, the best way of implementing sophisticated technology and fuels, so I strongly believe that the situation can be controlled by the various means of method.
