China clamp down on Shadow Education

China clamp down on Shadow Education 5N83A
The Chinese government has introduced new regulations on control of private tutoring in the country. New regulations are aimed at making education more affordable and equal for all by prohibiting new licensing and restrictions on educational service firms from raising money for shadow education. These new regulations will have positive implications for education in China. The potential positive outcome of new regulations is the ending of profiteering shadow education business worth of 120 billion dollars. According to Chinese Society of throughout the country around 75% of students from 6 to 18 years were attending after school tutoring. These regulations will relieve financial pressures on many families as private tutoring cost 200 dollar per hour in China which is quite expensive. Furthermore, new regulations will reduce the gap between poor and rich in receiving the quality education because previously children of rich families could afford shadow education and poor families could not; thus, new regulations can bridge that gap between the rich and poor in terms of getting quality of education In my opinion, educational authorities must be allowed to regulate the shadow education to make it accessible and affordable for all students. The primary reason for regulation over after school tutoring is that unregulated shadow education exists solely as profit making business for local and international educational firms. Government’s regulatory control on shadow education will ensure their effective accountability by dissipating information to the families enrolling their children in private tuitions, Moreover, government can decide the fees of private tuition which is affordable for all which can reduce educational gap between rich and poor. By concluding, new regulations on private tutoring will bring positive results for Chinese citizens as it will reduce the number of money-making private tutoring firms, bridging the gap between rich and poor in access to educational opportunities. Last but not the least, Government must ensure effective regulations on shadow education in order make it affordable for all students.
