The line chart illustrated the income between genders from 1978 to 2008 in five countries include Japan, US, France, UK and Australia. Overall, it is clear that there was a reduction in the percentage of four countries during the survey. However, the percentage of income in Australia witnedssed a significantly increase after 1998. In the first year of the survey, Japan reach the peak of almost 48% between the incomes of men and women. Beside that, the proportion of income gap in US and UK also decreased, from about 33% and 29% then to about 27% in 2008, respectively. There was also a fall income gap between gender in France and Australia, the income figures for France and Australia were similar in 1998 and then the percentage of incomes declined steadily from 29% and 28% to 28% and 27% respectively during the 10 years. While four other countries still remained the annual decrease, the lowest income gap is Australia suddenly grew dramatically to 24% in 2008, overtaking the figure of France.
