Education options in relevance of techniques, methods and subjects has been regularly transformed and altered with growth of society. Gone are the days, when pupils had only selective choices to choose for secondary or higher studies. Nowadays, students have wider options to make decisions about studies due to ‘media influence’. Thus, some developed countries kids are more inclined towards artistic subjects in comparison of science. So this essay shall delve into this situation reasons, repercussions and solutions. To commence with, looking closer to this situation’s effect on youngsters or students, this is becoming a topic of debate as if kids would not choose science, further it will effect their choice of career option. Due to leading crowd towards art skill and other occupations there is very less exposure left for lucrative and financially secure professions like doctors, physicians, scientist etcetera. Analysing this condition at national level, in upcoming years, these rich countries will lack doctors and expert in medicine sector. Further lack in research and development in medicine will also effect nation’s development. Moving forth, this situation can be tackled at individual and national level. Parents shall illustrate kids about benefits and scope of choosing science, for guidance by elders is need of the hour to help kids to make their career decisions. At institutional level, schools and colleges must have more experimental approach in teaching rather than only theory lectures, as practical exposure help students to understand subjects at better level. Government of these countries can offer enticing schemes including scholarships and other benefits by opting science. To conclude, a nation’s scientific, technological, economical and political development depends on young generation, which will be future of that nation. So, it is advisable to influence them with right choices.
