If students were asked to make choices about their lesson, they would talk about their opinions and problems. So, if they can refer to their lesson, they will happily participate in the process to avoid complicated feelings of shame. The school may look for places where the lesson is not too interesting, too easy or difficult or to find any other problems. They can also grasp students' weaknesses and strengths to know the decisions to take afterward. Sometimes students may say too much. They may express a strong opinion about a teacher or say something which is very personal. This could upset people or get people into trouble. Also, there may be too many complaints to deal with.
