A lesson learned from Bali Street Mum, an NGO with a humanitarian mission
A lesson learned from Bali Street Mum, an NGO with a humanitarian mission mEQ7n
My mind was overflowing with excitement as I made my way to Bali Street Mum. The excitement grew as my curiosity increased to see the children’s lives personally, knowing the surroundings, and perceiving their social life there. When I arrived there, I felt such bliss and blessing at the same time. It was a memorable time for me to get to know the world around me, to learn, to ponder, and to take lessons from their stories. Hence, I could more appreciate my life and other people’s lives too.
Bali Street Mom’s community was as solid as a rock in the sea. They were forming a family that was able to support one another. Ms. Diandra, the leader, was also an amazing and brave female leader. Hearing her story about how the organization was formed has touched my heart. She said that it would not be an easy road to take, but she must survive and thrive in order to provide shelter and a proper education for her children. She even remembered that her team worked tirelessly to ensure the future of the children. She just couldn’t let her children live like they used to; their lives had to improve.
Hearing her good intentions was so releasing to me since it showed that humanism is still maintained and exists. A big thanks to Inkuri for making the field trip happen and Bali Street Mum for sharing valuable and inspiring stories.
