In some countries, people are no longer allowed allowed to smoke in many public places and office buildings. Do you think this is a good rule or a bad rule? Discuss.

It has been a dispute nowadays, whether smoking in public places are good or bad. Some countries, implemented to ban the smoking out in the public and designate only areas allowed. In my case as a non-smoker, this is a good protocol that will benefit everyone.
Smoking has been branded for a long time as a health issue, not only for the smoker but to the people surrounding the smoker too, they are what we call the second-hand smoker. A lot of countries, make different implementation to prevent people from smoking such as increasing the prices of cigars. However, protest was also inevitable, therefore, meeting halfway was the solution, and that is to designate areas only for smoking.
For some, this is a bad rule, because it limits their prerogative to smoke, they are assuming that their rights have been invoked and limited. In addition, they are claiming that smoking in a contained/ limited space will result in bad health.
For others, such as those non-smoker, this rule gives them breathing space, away from nicotine or any smell of cigar. Moreover, this is also the benefit of the doubt, as almost 70% of the population are non-smoker. In addition, these is also good for the environment and the health of the public especially the children, pregnant, and the sick people.
In conclusion, opinion in these matter may vary from person to person, but by making these kind of law where every ones needs are met is a good image for the country. Although, health prioritization is still the most important aspect to be considered always.
