Improvements in health, education and trade are essential for the development of poorer nations. However, the governments of richer nations should take more responsibility for helping the poorer nations in such areas. To what extent do you agree?

In today's world, it is necessary to balance economic stability across the entire world and promote economic growth in all countries to bridge the gap between richer and poorer nations. The governments of richer nations should take an active role in assisting the poorer nations in their health, education, and trade sectors. However, providing donations or handouts to poorer countries will lead to detrimental after-effects in the future. So in my opinion, government of richer countries should help poorer countries by providing them with appropriate strategies and infrastructure which would help them to increase their country's revenue in future. Governing bodies of richer countries should help poorer countries by charting out a definite plan for them to follow which would lead to the financial stability of the country. They can guide them on best practices to follow to gain the maximum profit from a particular sector. For instance, even though India is largely an agricultural country, but the methods used to grow and harvest crops are outdated because farmers do not have knowledge of the latest technologies for farming. As a result, this sector is running huge losses even though India has a lot of fertile lands. If these farmers are given better education of the latest technologies and access for better machinery and seeds which is being used in richer countries, then the profits earned from this sector will be much more. In this way, richer countries can help poorer countries be more self-sufficient. Richer countries can provide the resources to make better healthcare facilities and proper infrastructure in poorer countries. People in poorer countries suffer a lot of diseases that can be treated easily if they have access to proper medicines, but sadly less availability of medicines in underdeveloped healthcare facilities sometimes causes prolonged suffering and sometimes even death of the patients. Diseases like small pox, tuberculosis and cholera are treatable but still lots of people in third-world countries suffer because they dont have access to medicines. Rich countries should come for their aid in such situations. Moreover, richer countries can provide relaxations on the import/export taxes from the poorer countries which would help the government in investing that money on the country's development. So, to summarize there are numerous ways in which richer countries can alleviate the troubles of the poorer countries but both countries should have a definite and constructive plan to improve the country's GDP. Handing out money without any proper planning will only lead to more corruption. The optimum solution is to offer the best methodologies so the country can sustain efficiently on their own and generate regular income.
