GM Foods can help to solve feeding people

Nowadays, one of the most important issues in this world is starvation. Crop failure contributes more to that issue and due to that reason, scientients and engineer collaborated together to develop a technology which modifies food and is well known as GM Foods. GM Foods is believed can feed many peoples. I completely disagree with this idea. It has been proved that GM foods can make farming easier. Firstly, it will make crops will be more resistant since GM foods a modified gene that protects them against pests and insects. Secondly, it also will be cheaper because to plan seeds which have been modified only need less water and less land. It means it will reduce cost and grow efficiently. Thirdly, generally modification can increase nutritional value or enhance flavour. This will ensure people have more access to quantity and quality food. On the other side, genetically engineering foods is a relatively new practice, little is known about the long-term effects and safety. It means the main issue will be relating to health matters although the research is still ongoing. I do believe by forcing or altering something to foods, it will bring much damage. GM foods have more potential to trigger allergic reactions. This is because GM Foods contains genes from allergen which will prompt an allergic reactions. Beside it, they are more resistant to certain antibiotics and could pass on to humans. This will inflict people’s ability to defend against illness or diseases. The most important thing, some said that eating GM foods will contribute more to the development of cancer. In conclusion, it is urgently to solve feeding issue over the world, but we must put attention to health issue especially.
