In my opinion genetic engineering has many advantages over disadvantages for example genetic engineering used in the medicine can do wonders for us to cure diseases which are not curable till date and help to end the human sufferings. Mover ever genetic engineering can help to produce food in a mass as the world population is increasing day by day and has become difficult for the governments around the world to avail food for their public mainly underdeveloped countries. Genetic engineering can preserve crops as well. Bananas are constantly threatened by different types of disease. Fungal diseases, Panama disease, and other influences have negatively affected banana crops over the last century. Nevertheless genetic engineering has its disadvantages we know about the biological warfare where pathogens created in a laboratory with the help of genetic engineering are capable of creating mass destruction. Also it can turn animals into commodities, with the production of large muscle mass, giving it a large body size that is ideal for meat production not necessarily good for the overall health of the animals. In the end I would say as long as genetic engineering is in the good hands it can help us to overcome various issues which world is facing nowadays like production of food in quantity, helps to cure many diseases and most importantly it can help develop vaccines against dreadful viruses. I believe genetic engineering can do wonders for us in the futures and helps us to overcome various issues in day today life.
