It has become increasingly common to find many entertainment sources on portable mobile devices at hand. This essay will discuss both positive and negative sides of this situation and provide evidence as to why I believe that the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages.
From one standpoint, there is no denying that excessive use of electronic devices can cause to decrease the quality of interaction. For instance, nowadays, many people prefer to watch films or play video games rather than spend their time to make new friends and interact with them or exchange ideas. Additionally, according to the many physiologists' views, a lot of people suffer from digital addiction. In turn, using mobile devices constantly to watch films or play online games can cause users physical problems such as back pain, dry eyes and a headache.
From another standpoint, it is certain that mobile devices and laptops offer many choices. People can access such entertainment at any time. For example, while a person is travelling by train, plane or when people have to wait their friends, their gadgets are the best mediators for them to spend their time meaningfully and it makes humans’ life easier. Furthermore, it a good way for education. Currently, there are a lot of educational games and films, which can be found online. It saves time and money. Therefore, the accessibility of online movies and games can be advantageous for people to some extent.
In conclusion, although we cannot ignore some harmful effects of using technological devices, I am of the opinion that such developments can bring more convenience to our daily life.
