Is technology evil or angel?

Technology has entered into our lives only for a couple of decades, however, it became an indispensable part of society unsurprisingly. There are both pros and cons to this matter but, in my view, the advantages of technology outweigh its drawbacks. Admittedly, technology catalyzes and accelerates our daily lives which is a vital advantage in this rapidly changing world. For example, people can communicate with each other within seconds through e-mail and message facilities. Without technology, humans would wait for months to deliver a message. The other positive impact is to obtain information easily thanks to computers. They enable individuals to reach a great number of sources without the compulsory of purchasing lots of books. Besides, throughout human life, one cannot afford that amount of books. For this reason, the contribution of technology to our lives is crucial in today's world. There are also some downsides regarding the effects of technology. Firstly, it causes society to become lazy due to the fact that it figures out and solves almost everything on behalf of us. For instance, it seems that fewer people go out and eat in restaurants today in comparison to the past due to online ordering which leads to an unhealthy lifestyle. The other impact is individuals' isolation from society. Lately, people tend to have a conversation with their friends via social media sites instead of talking face to face. Although it is a comfortable way of socializing, zoom calls never substitute for real meetings. Thus, a lack of socializing drives people to loneliness. In conclusion, in my opinion, in spite of its drawbacks, the positive sides of technology are greater and more significant than its disadvantages for all humanity.
