Most of the people send text messages rather than calling. Explain the reasons for it. Do you think sending text message is an advantage or disadvantage?

Nowadays everyone is always so busy. The days run so fast, most of the people works extra hours. Messages were created to simplify the communication. In my point of view, messages have many advantages comparing with phone calls.  Currently, everyone use a lot the text messages daily in their jobs.  For example, if I am in a meeting and at that moment I can't pick up a call, the person who is trying to contact me can leave a message. By receiving that message, I can understand if it's an emergency or if I call late, when I am free. Also text messages are useful as a reminder, like meeting reminders. People use also the messages to communicate with their friends and family. Apart from text messages, now there is a huge variety of applications available like WhatsApp, Mensenger, Telegram which people use to chat. There is the option to create groups to talk with more than one person. Everyone but mostly the young people choose this option to communicate with friends, and to arrange plans, trips between each other. Recently, a lot of people started using voice messages. Basically, people record their voice and send a message, when it's harde to explain by text or also if they are lazy to type. On the other hand, we have the option to call someone. In my opinion, if the person isn't available I will have to wait until the person call me back and she can still forget to call again.  It's true that texting someone is easier, although when it's an emergency situation or something serious people still prefer to make a call.
