The three pie charts illustrate the proportion of five types of favourite social media platforms of global Internet users in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Overall, in three years, the most used social media was Facebook, which accounted for over half the usage of social media, except for 2013, while other kinds of social media platforms generated the least amount of users in the world. In all types of medias there was only minimal change over three years.
People used social media by facebook comprised of 59% in the first year and this showed sharply decrease of 10% to 49 % in 2012. After a year it indicated two tenth lower in comparison with 2011. Likewise, the number of twitter users was over a fifth, which rose marginally to 25% in the final year.
With regards to the remaining methods of favourite social media channels, there wes an approxiametely 10 % and 5% growth in social media from google and linkedln to 14% and 15%, respectively. On the other hand, pinterest was the least used platforms among five social media channels, which increased only 2 % over three years.
