This table shows the result of a ten-year study about people who attend events in the UK 3Jw
The table above shows the percentage of people attending different cultural events in the United Kingdom in the range of ten years. There are vivid ups and down during this period of time.
To begin with, the number of people going to the cinema increased sharply from 33% in the first year till 49% in the tenth year, while, for instance, the amount of people who visited theatres goes up slightly, from 20% to 26% in the given period of time.
The attendance at art galleries rose slightly in the first five years showing then gradual drop to 6% over the last five years.
10 % of people, who like classical music concert, visited them in the first year whereas this number has become halved in a decade. The same amount of people went to the ballet and opera at the beginning, but till the fifth year these numbers differ, clearly showing the steep fall in percentage of ballet-lovers till 2 and slight rise in 2% of people who prefer opera. But five years later this numbers have changed again, showing the rise interest to concerts and insignificant decline in opera visitors.
To sum it up, it is evident that the majority of people prefer going to the cinema and theatres while less and less people buy tickets for opera and classical music concerts.
