The bar depicts the relavent percentage contributions made by the Canadian citizens to the organizations involved in the charitable work based on the age group, for the period of 2000 and 2015 6q8
As per the statistics illustrated in the graph, people between the age group 35-49 have donated maximum towards charity in 2000. In contrast, senior citizens between the age group 50 to 64 have contributed the most in 2015. Young people between the age group of 18 to 24 have given the least amount of money towards humanitarian work, for both years 2000 and 2015.
The age group of 18 to 24 has witnessed a sharp decline in the contribution made by the young generation, of about 10% during 2000 and 2015. Also, a steady decline towards the money donated for the social work is observed between 25 to 34 and 35 to 49, for 2000 and 2015.
Furthermore, a changing pattern is indicated for the age group of 50 to 64 and above, where the people have spent more on charity in the year 2015 as compared to 2000. A very small increase in the proportion of the donators is shown in the figure for the above-said age group and amounts to mere 3-4%.
