Every year several languages die out. Some people think that this is not important because life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

As per this statement we are losing many languages in today’s time and many have the opinion that if there are less languages everyone’s life will become easy and they do not ever bother about it. In this way soon we are going to lose our regional languages which we use to communicate locally and in the result of this many regional languages are dying ou1t. I do not agree with this statement and would like to explain my opinion in this essay.
Firstly, Language plays an essential part in everyone’s life to understand the thought process, culture and tradition of any community. It is important to save regional languages as it shows our culture and traditions for example: In India there are several regional languages. There are many folk music and stories in every regional area from north to south. To understand these kinds of traditional music, play and stories, knowledge about native language is a must.
The statement states that if there are a lot of languages there will be more difficulty in communication or understanding other’s views. I feel this perception is false. People can use their mother tongue to communicate with their family and friends and they can use international languages, English professionally.
For example - I live in Delhi, India and I use Hindi language with my colleagues, friends and strangers. At home I use my native language to communicate with my family members. At the office, I use English for presentations and meetings. Multiple languages only benefit me to grow professionally or personally.
In summary, I suppose there will be some attempts made by everyone to save languages because it's very important to save our culture and tradition as well. If we do not preserve regional or native languages we will lose tradition or culture soon.
