During the last few years social media has started to rule the world, that is, absolutely everyone knows their function and famous brands, or companies use them to carry out their marketing campaigns. Social media is classified as the best tool to keep in touch with people around the world, it is no longer necessary to call or send letters to people in other countries or cities, but now you can know about their lives thanks to the fact that many people post on their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram profiles their meetings, achievements or simply their day to day life. However, sharing personal information can have collateral damage, that is, it can result in something beneficial but equally in something negative. For example, many of the users are children or teenagers who are not yet aware of the risks on the Internet. For example, there are many bad people trying to steal data, kidnap people or misrepresent the vulnerable. I conclude that social networks are both good and bad, we live in a modern society and for this reason, society should make sure who is using the internet and for what purpose. It is vital to be aware that not everything on a cell phone or laptop is beneficial. To conclude, social media has both advantages and disadvantages, but we should not put one above the other, it is better to make society aware that they should not share personal information with complete strangers, and that if they do, they should do so in the most careful way possible.
