The line graphs shows the percentage of daily smokers by age along with their smoking status in three categories from 1990 to 2010 in Australia.
Overall, it is clear that ages 18-24 had the highest percentage of daily smokers while those who never smoked reached the highest percentage for people aged 14 and above.
In 2010, non-smokers reached its highest point at 50% while ex-smokers remained stable at 30% since 2000. However, daily smokers dropped significantly in 2010 with roughly 11% even if it reached its peak in 1990 with 28%. This shows by far that there are more non-smokerd than daily smokers and ex-smokers.
Daily smokers from ages 18-24 dropped largely from 35% in 1990 to 14% in 2010 and ages 25-49 remained relatively constant around 20-22% since 1990 up to 2010. As the smokers reached 50 and above, the percentage decreased from 35% in 1990 and 18% in 2010.
