Despite of cycling has many advantages, the number of people who are used bicycle for primary travelling a decrease in many nations. I will discuss some causes for the same and remedies which can alleviate this problem.
The main reason of declining in usage of bicycle among people is busy time schedule. In other words, every person prefer that they save their time for other works. But cycling consume much time for travelling, then they turns to use fast mode of transports to rescue their time. To exemplify, The Times Of India in march 2015 reported that after revolution of the automobile industry, the usage of bicycle deceased in many nation. Therefore, busy time schedule play prime role in decline riding of bicycle in people
Secondly, the lack of bicycle lane is major cause in dropped usage of bicycle. In the other words, the design of roads is not best suited for cyclists. In many undeveloped and developing countries. Mostly, road's infrastructure is design according to car, motorbike and trucks. There are no separate lane for cyclists, who is at risk of being knocked down by the car. For instance, The Times Of India, in January 2020 reported the graph which was illustrated, the number of cyclists was crashed by car and truck. And it was reached a peak. As a result, shortage of bicycle lane is a prime factor for decreasing bicycle usage in many nation
There are many way to encourage people for using bicycle. To begin, the government should advertise on bicycle benefits. And should need to aware for cycling advantages.
Secondly, the law enforcement agencies should focus on contracting separate bicycle lanes. Furthermore, the government should make strick rule against road accidents and punish people who break the rules.
