In these present times, sustainability improvements are a big topic. Politicians invest money in public transport to avoid personal cars. With the aim of reducing the contaminating particles. In this essay, I will explain why is important to be aware of the impacts that we have while using these types of vehicles.
One reason for this is that everybody knows that public transport is a good alternative to cars and motorbikes. The point is that the connections between the metro, bus and train are not accurate. It is a problem when you have to arrive on time for a meeting work at particular time. For that reason, adults who are used to take the car prefer this option instead of the other.
It could also be argued that the public transport is a good alternative when you are in the city. Nevertheless, a big amount of people live in the suburbs and they have to arrive at the center by personal vehicle. A possible solution to this is to include a free parking at the entrance of the city to allow these citizens park there. After that, they will be able to take the public transport without the car limitation. This action will reduce the number of cars inside the city and the pollution will be decreased.
On balance, I personally agree that many people want to use the public transport and the problem is not the ticket price. The general reason why they are not using it is due to the uncertainty of the timing and the bad connections. Society is more worried of being late than to pay the ticket.
