It is undeniable that people naturally buy products which cater their needs, even though those products are not advertised. However, I strongly disagree the view that product advertising is not necessary and I firmly believe that advertisement plays a vital role in this digital century.
On the one hand, good products captivate customers attention thanks to its high-quality and long-lasting features. It can easily be seen that businesses offer special products such as customized luxury jewelry or tailored high-end clothing rarely advertise their products. This is because they just focus on niche segment, so customers’ trust for the products is more important. However, common customers cannot afford this type of products, and most of the time, the buyers are attracted by good price or special features of a product. Therefore, I am on the site that advertisement contributes to the success of selling products.
In the mass market, where customers always make comparison on price, quality, features of products, advertisement help the audience to understand what they buy. It is obvious that many companies successfully attract customers thanks to good advertisement. For example, despite the weak domestic purchasing power in 2023 showed by the significant decrease in retail revenue of the general market, some top retailers in Vietnam such as Phu Nhuan Jewelry or Mobile World has been recorded net revenue and net profit equivalent to the previous year thanks to their creative marketing strategy, in which they customized their advertisement to target to new customer segmentation. As a result, the number of customers increases that can net off the decrease in ticket size, and these companies can keep the leading positions with outstanding performance.
In conclusion, to a certain extent, I agree that good products appeal customer. However, the importance of advertisement is undeniable.
