The graph illustrates the two possible sites for a new shopping center in a particular city, known as Brandfield.
Overall, both S1 and S2 are a long distance away from the golf course and park. However, S1 is in close proximity to the residential area whereas S2 is proposed to be on the left-hand side of the industrial zone.
First, S1 is to the north-east of the city, between the housing state and the city center. Moreover, it is located in the intersection of three main infrastructure features, including a river, a road and a railway. Therefore, it will be easy for citizens to get access if a shopping complex is constructed there. .
However, S2 is on the bottom right-hand corner and fairly close to the downtown and industrial region. In addition, locals can pay a visit there through two main roads instead of only one as when they travel to S1, or through a railway.
