Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Limiting financial resources, management of revenues and expenses are so important, and it is a hard decision where money should spend, especially for big communities. While some people firmly believe that universities should give equivalent financial support for both sports and social activities and classes and libraries, others stand on the opposite side and hold another belief. I agree with the first group for two main reasons that I will explain in the below paragraphs. First, although the main goal of college and university is education, but good and complete education needs a lot of factors like having a healthy mind and body. As a result, spending money to build equipped salons for sport is helpful. Students, professors and employees can do exercise in their free time and reduce their stress to act more productive, be more creative and think more deeply. In my experience, when I went to the gym at my university, it saved me the time instead of going gym which was out of the camps and losing my time in traffic, and also it helped me to increase my focus on lessons and be more productive. To sum up, devoting money to sports is as important as classes and libraries. Second, one of the most important things that students should learn is social responsibility. Universities should educate students as they can solve society’s problems. To achieve this goal, students should first be aware of these problems and in the next step, they can find solutions. If there are places in universities for social activities students can gather together and speak about their ideas and find the best ways with the help of their professors. They also can use libraries for searching and studying other society’s problems and learn how different countries fixed their problems, in order to find an optimum solution. Statistics show students who do social activities at universities have a better performance in future and they are more concern about their country and their culture. So, assigning a budget for social activities has a very useful benefit for the future. In conclusion, however, universities and colleges have limited financial resources but spending money on sports and social activities not only is important but also have a long benefit that I explained above.
