The map shows the changes that have taken place in meadowside village and fonton, a neighbouring town since 1962. v. 2 E9gnr
The map illustrates how Medowside village and Fonton, the neighbouring town, have developed over three different time periods ( 1962, 1985 and the present). Overall, Meadowside village, which is the Meadowside suburbs now, has increased its area and is merged with its neighbouring town, Fonton. Furthermore, there has been a vast change in the infrastructure, housing and other facilities over the period of time. In 1962, the Meadowside village and Fonton were two separate places with no roads or railways connecting them. Fonton, which was located on the east, had a railway line running through it to the north. While Meadowside village, lied on the west to the Foton, had a small road passing through it. By 1985, there was significant progress in the enhancement of sizes of the Meadowside village and Foton. In the Meadowside village, the small road which was running to the west was now converted to the main road and there was a main road constructed, connecting both the village and Fonton. Moreover, there were a housing estate in the north, a leisure complex and a superstore in the south of the village. Currently, Meadowside village is mingled together with its neighbouring town Fonton, and is now named as Meadowside Suburbs. There is a railway line from the south of Fonton running to the east, joining the station. To the north of the station, there lies a hotel and opposite the station, to the south, there is now a business park.
