Students should focus on learning in the classroom rather than show their status by wearing fashionable clothes. Therefore, all students have to wear school uniforms. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Classroom is a place for students to learn rather than dressing in fashionable way. Hence, schools must make it mandatory for all students to wear uniforms. I strongly agree for students wearing a uniform to school. It is agreed that most student spend their time in focusing what to wear for the next day for school. Most of the students especially high school students concentrate on their looks. They have forgotten the purpose of school is to learn and make friends. Rather than that, they imitate each other’s way of dressing and most of the time make fun of each other. Some female pupil have lost their confidence and have low self-esteem because of this issue. This issue also puts pressure on parents. Most of the parents try hard and to full fill the needs of their children. However, the parents have noticed that their burden have increased when the child requests for more than what can be tolerated within their budget. An article in the New York times made an interview with couple of mothers regarding this. One of the mother’s said that her daughter mainly talks about makeup and branded clothes. Additionally, another parent said that her son always asks her to buy for him branded shoes or else he cannot go to school. This issue have put so much pressure on the parents, and they are worried about their children’s academic level. On the other hand, the teachers are facing the same issue in school. The students educational level have reduced and their attitude and behavior cannot be tolerated. One of the teachers in high school level said some of the students are smart, but because they do not want be made fun of, they imitate others. Hence, their grades are low. In conclusion, the teachers and parents urgently request the school authorities to take an action, and all students must wear uniform, because this will improve the students attitude and grades.
