Appeal letter to a admissions comittee
Appeal letter to a admissions comittee 2P8Jo
First of all, I would like to sincerely thank you for considering my application. It was with both great excitement and disappointment to see the update in my mailbox. My name is Zeynep Gülen Erkoç and I am a freshman at TEV Inanc Turkes High School. Regarding my statutes that I have been waitlisted I am writing this letter to share new updates about my application.
I have been carrying out a project, Cognitive Disorders Alzheimer’s Disease. Since then I have fixed my eye to develop the amyloid hypothesis, I have worked for nights, and I continue my project at Sabancı University Mustafaoğlu Laboratory that I have been admitted as the youngest attendee. I had been focused on Alzheimer’s Disease considering the blood brain barrier.
As I continue my study, I wanted to get to know what people think about Alzheimer’s Disease, I talked to people at school and outside. All these conversations, which I would like to share, the one that most impacted me: “The term Alzheimer’s Disease had entered my life 2 years ago with my grandfather. There was nothing to do but wait. I have nothing I can do. ” Hereby, I have noticed that we are unaware of cognitive disorders despite grievously we all witness them. Going through all these conversations aroused the desire that I must do something, as a result I have started an education project. I have been continuing working with my teacher, incidentally we will contact the Turkish Alzheimer’s Association.
Besides I have made progress with my project, the term has ended so that my scores are announced. As Coldplay articulates in the song The Scientist “Nobody said it was easy. ”, at the end of a term that I have studied a lot, searched, participated in congresses, seminars, and clubs I have scored 99. 0583 (weighted) out of 100. As my life continues, I want to strengthen my own development with Pioneer Academic’s challenging program.
All my foundations that I tried hard to develop, especially my research skills in this period have developed much more. I have always known research in other words to get to know the unknown has been indispensable for me. Henceforward, I have the opportunity to work in the laboratory, which means to be able to convey my knowledge to experiments, I am pretty sure that research is set of my heart.
Pioneer Academics with its rigorous system and research opportunity is an initiative for me to create an impact. With dedication, if I have been admitted I will perform my best recapitulation that I could perform on the life stage. I believe that Pioneer Academics will assist me to my journey to ensure no one needs to express these desperate six words. “… I have nothing I can do…”.
Yours Sincerely,
Zeynep Gülen Erkoç
