Although parents are responsible for raising a child, outside influence plays a key role in their development. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Parents have absolutely a responsibility for taking care of a child. However, children can have much influences in outside life such as social and educational environments. I firmly agree this opinion as a mother who has 3 children. In this essay, I will explain 2 facts about external influences on a child’s growth. One is community interaction and the other is sport or hobby activity. First, children have their social life. They go to school, make friends and learn not only knowledge but also the way to adopt among friends and teachers. As spending with friends, they can acquire other’s attitude and thoughts. Also, in the community and religion, their own values can be developed appropriately. As a result of this kind of interaction, children can grow with good values, attitudes, knowledge. Second, sport and hobby activity can affect on child’s right growth. It is very helpful and useful to participate in sport and art activities in physical improvement and creativity aspect. Playing any kinds of sports can help them improve their physical ability as well as keep healthy life style. Art activity can make them develop artistic presentation and explore their emotion. Trough these activities, they can get self-confident and positive thinking. In conclusion, to raise children, parents have an important internal role and there are external roles in their development as well. In school, community and religion, they can learn good values and attitudes. As well as in playing sports and arts, they can have self-confident and positive thinking. It is important to have a harmony between parents role and outside influences in raising children.
