A lot of towns are believed to be turning gardens and farmland into new housing growths. GGR1g
A lot of towns are believed to be turning gardens and farmland into new housing growths. Although I admit that there are some positive consequences of this trend, I strongly believe it is a negative development because of some reasons. On the one hand, it is good that many parks and avenues are replaced by houses. Those who argue this policy is positive point out its effects on overcrowding in cities. The result is that more individuals are able to live in cities and enjoy higher standards of living, better healthcare, improved economic opportunities, and various entertainment options. For the average resident, such development is incontestably positive. However, the increase in new housing causes environmental damage and shrinking of the natural world. It maybe possible for representatives of the rich class, because they can go countryside to breathe nature. But gardens or farmland may be the only natural environment for other people. The another reason, the cost of goods imported from outside the city may increase which causes price increases in the city. In conclusion, despite the positives related to population density in cities, it is an overall negative due to its effect on the natural environment and quality of life in cities.
