The relocation to a different country, whether it is as a result of a job oppertunity or in order to study abroad, may quit frequently cause people to tremendously miss their country of origin. This is caused mostly due to the cultural differences between the countries. However, this phenomenon can be mitigated by getting in touch with people from their own cuntry who also relocated and the use of technology to be in tuch with thier family and freinds back home.
The primary factor that is causing one to feel homesick is the cultural differences between what the pesrson is used to and what he is experiencing in the present. As you move to another country almost everything is different in regard to culture, it starts with more basic elements such as food, TV shows etc. and continues to other factors such humor and how you talk to others. As a result one can start feeling inconvinience and miss home.
Nevertheless, two important things can be done in order to improve a person's feelings. Firstly, it is reccomended to try to get in tuch and meet people from your country of origin such in specail community centers. To get the chance to interact with others the way you are used to can make a significant positive effect on one's feelings. Secondly, today, with the use of technology and internet one can easily and cheaply stay in tuch with his family and friends from back home by using for example video calls. In addition, it is also possible to have online streamimg services from back home with the news, shows, films and sport events that he is used to which can also help him feel less homesick.
In conclusion, a relocation to a different country may cause one to really miss home, however, the combination of meeting with people from the person's country of origin who also relocated, and staying in tuch with your loved ones back home using the internet can reduce one's homesickness greatly.
