Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter to express my discomfort regarding the unavailability of parking lot for bicycles, and seek for your prompt response. Due to my weight issue, I was advised by my doctor to exercise regularly in order to excrete the excess calories from my system, hence why I commute to work in a bicycle. Again, as a green environment advocate, I believe that cycling to work is my little way of contributing to a healthy environment, and as a senior staff, I have been able to encourage other staff to ride to work. While I had no complaints in the past regarding parking space for my bicycle, however, on the contrary, recently, there are unavailable space as motorists are parking their cars in areas designated for bicycle thereby leading to shortage of space. This has resulted to the lost of a number of bicycles due to the fact that cyclists are parking their bikes in unsecured locations. Therefore, if this trend continues, a number of people would be discouraged from cycling, and this may result to enormous traffic congestion. Consequently, I would suggest for offenders to be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent measure. Meanwhile, I would appreciate it if you could put a bold signage in the area meant for bicycles.
