The environmental problems which are caused by the developments in technology make people believe that they should adjust their life become simpler, while others think that sophisticated technology can overcome these problems. This essay will discuss both views and I think that the technology approach is better to solve the problems. Air pollution by carbon emission is an important issue that people should be solved, and a simpler life such as using public transportation is one of approaches which can people do to solve the environmental problem. Nowadays, carbon emission from a number of private vehicles which are part of technology's enhancement can make the air quailty becoming worse. Because of that, people should move from using the private vehicle to using the public transportation in order to reduce the emission. To illustrate, carbon emission rate in Tokyo City can be decreased after Tokyo people use public transportation and limited the usage of private vehicle. The technology can overcome an environmental issue which is originally from the development of technology itself such as soil pollution by food packaging waste. The increasing demand of food packaging definitely rises the amount of waste and it can pollute soil environment if the waste do not be managed well. To solve this issue, the recycling system as a part of the sophisticated technology is able to process the waste becoming a new material which can be used for another purpose, thus the soil pollution rate will be decreased. For instance, Toronto City can reduce their soil pollution rate which is caused by food packaging waste using sophisticated recycling technology. In conclusion, the environmental problems which is influenced by the developments in technology such as air and soil pollution can be solved by choosing a simpler life or the technology itself. However, I think that the technology itself can overcome these problems without an adjustment to a simpler life.
