WRITING TASK 1 TABLE AND BAR CHARTS

WRITING TASK 1 TABLE AND BAR CHARTS 1Dn
The table shows how long it took to travel around a city before and after the transport network was improved. The bar graph shows how much it costs to use different forms of transport in the city. Units are measured in average cost per kilometer in Euros. Journey times with taxi and car have a big increase while tram and bus periods a decrease after improvements. However, according to the average journey time bus and train are slower than car and taxi in all situations (before: 28/22 minutes and 10/9 minutes; after: 23/16 minutes and 15/12 minutes respectively). In terms of the average cost of different means of transports, the cheapest way is the bus, at €0. 35 and after that the tram, at €0. 5. Taxis are the fastest way of getting around but that form of transport is the most expensive (around €1. 80) way. Overall, taxis and cars are faster than trams and buses but they are considerably more expensive. Because of that reason, using trams and buses is more economical. Also journey time by tram is close to that of taxi, there is no significant difference between them.
