Consuming natural resources

Consuming natural resources 5DB
In recent years, enviromentalist have debated that, human is consuming natural resources enormously than they can be renewed. This was due to the increase of piece of economic pie from lower and middle class citizen where they are now more affordable to consume variety of product. the government want to reduce the harm by introducing a campaign on buying a long lasting product. Personally, I slightly disagree to this statement. In the begin, economy of a country flourish when there is a sell and buy activities. By buying a long lasting product, people will ignore a new product as the current one is still work. This will decreased the seller and manufactures profit thus affected the establishment workers. As a result, factories or business need to reduce operation and eliminate some of its workers. This ecosystem will harm the whole nation which the worst case scenario will be increasing of crime rate. Secondly, it is hard to produce a long lasting products especially mechanical and electrical related products. Those devices always a certain lifespan. Manufactures cannot give a warranty that devices will continue to its quality for more than 5 years because of the nature of engineering itself. Above that a more advance product will be launched every years that consumers are likely to buy because they want to keep up to date. In conclusion, the campaign by the goverment is rather meaningless or cannot by fully implemented. They need to research more on this matter and find a better solution to it.
