To support my opinion, the well known case of Ted Bunny, who was a murderer, he himself killed over 130 women in a long period of time. Before the trial outcome, he conceded an interview explaining the motivation behind his recurring crimes but despite this statement he did, the resolution of his trial was a death sentence. what will never know is if he had a regret feeling, the same thing applies to all lawbreakers.
In conclusion, regardless the offence, people have the right to a throughgoing judgement.
