with pressure on today. s youth to succeed academicaklly, some people believe that non-academic subjects should be removed from the syllabus so that children can concentrate wholly on academic subject. 6nn9r
Non academic subject should not be removed from syllabus. As per people's thinking children will excel in academic subjects if nonacademic subjects are removed from the syllabus, I completely disagree with their views, As a child should get exposure to both nonacademic and academic subject for complete growth. To start with it is seen that numerous students have interest in nonacademic fields and may choose a career in those later in life, removing such subjects may be like closing their path for them to explore in such fields. For example if a child want to make career in drawing its of no use to force all his attention on only academic subject and neglecting his skills in nonacademic subject like drawing and may result in hampering his development. Even its a fact that nonacademic subjects like sports, arts, and work experience training can act as a stress busters, so involvement of student in such activity will remove the pressures of academic study from there head and a stress free mind will always prevail over a stressed one. Children may consequently be able to focus better on academic subjects with a stress free mind like subjects related to sports can really uplifts one’s mood and may result in better focus on academics. Meanwhile Syllabus of children should be designed keeping in mind that they go through complete growth, the academic as well as nonacademic parameters should be fulfilled in it, As one subject can act as a escape from another and forcing only academic may make them dislike that subject and it may result opposite of what we want. So to sum up it is beneficial to give exposure to academic as well as nonacademic subject to students for there complete growth that will help them to excel in academics as well as nonacademic activities in their life.
