why do you like to study electromobility

I am eager to apply for a Master’s program in Electromobility-ACES at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU). I am an international applicant from Iran. I graduated from Islamic Azad University Shiraz Branch, one of the top-ranked global universities in Mechanical Engineering, with a Bachelor of Science degree. I am among the top three ranked graduates of my university in the year 2022, with a distinctive CGPA of 18. 88/20. During the second year of my bachelor, I have been working as an assistant in the engineering and design department of Poolad Varzan Kimia industrial company, a designer and manufacturer of static equipment for oil, gas and petrochemical industries. This hands-on experience helped me to have a clear vision of how all the subjects I’ve been learning at university could be applied in the industry. A couple of reasons motivate me to apply for a Master’s study in electromobility. Back in the days when I was a high school student, mathematics always seemed appealing to me. Later on, my passion for learning how cars are manufactured or how some technical gadgets work led me to choose mechanical engineering for my B. Sc. studies. My concerns about our planet Earth have always drawn my attention to transportation systems as one of the leading causes of environmental issues, making me think about possible alternatives to conventional vehicles. During my undergraduate studies, I often spent my free time reading different journals and papers about climate-friendly transportation systems. Consequently, I came across electric vehicles that could effectively tackle some problems threatening the environment. Considering the current advancements of technology in artificial intelligence and production impresses me a lot. It motivates me to acquire knowledge to apply these technologies in developing smart, sustainable means of transportation. I demonstrated good understanding and grades in subjects related to electromobility during my B. Sc. studies. Besides, attending several online courses in computer programming and mechanical design and analysis software assessed me with advanced skills. Being interested in studying the original editions of mechanical engineering references (in English) boosted my language skills. I’ve recently scored 8 in IELTS academic module, which clears my English language proficiency. Therefore, I prefer to pursue my master’s study in electromobility in English. It is well-known that Germany is one of the best countries in Europe, where there are many of the best universities in the fields of science and technology. My desire to pursue my postgraduate study in Germany, to be more precise, in the Erlangen metropolitan region, also emanates from access to various industrial companies. It can give me a broad insight into my future career path through opportunities such as internships. From a personal perspective, from an early age, I have been highly interested in getting familiar with the culture and norms of Germans. The concrete reason for my choice to study at FAU is the in-depth training in a highly interdisciplinary program that brings together knowledge from different related fields of Engineering, Computer Science and Design. The presence of four majors (ACES) as specialization modules where they can alternatively be taken as electives makes my choice ideal. Indeed, no other program meets my intention like electromobility-ACES offered by FAU since it provides detailed training in electromobility and has four of the most currently demanding specialization areas. I will be glad to participate in your program the following summer semester as a logical step towards my educational and future career goals. Thank you for your time to consider my application.
