The graph shows us the data on some ways of contacting that the young in America usually use.
It is obviously clear that the percantage of mentioned ways all increased. Howerver, the rate of Email-users was always the lowest and steadily fell from the begining of 2008.
In November of 2006, we can realize that the percentage of calls on cell phones was highest (about 35%) as the winner. Being the first-running up, talking face-to-face had the approximate number 34%. Meanwhile, the percantage of Email-users was steedily low (about 15%).
In September of 2009, we can see that proportion of all ways incresed significantly except Email. The percentage of calls on ccell phones grew gently by about 5% to 40% in three years. Especially, the percantage of text messages also reached the plateau in 2008 and rose quickly by about 16% to about 54% (2009) in one year as the highest rate in 2009. Besides, there was a instable proportion of talking face-to-face, it fluctuated between 30% and 40% in three years (2006-2009). In comparison with others, the rate of Email-users decreased quickly by about 8% to 10% from 2007 to 2009 and it is still the lowest percantage through three years.
In summary, all mentioned ways have their own benefits. Young person can choose the way which is suitable for the conversation and make them feel convenienct.
