There are plenty of ways to organize a trip when you are visiting a foreign country. One option is to hire an organized tour by an expert and it can be done according to your desires or it can be a previously planned itinerary. On the other hand, a self-organized trip is when you plan and book your trip on your own. When traveling outside your country, which option is more convenient? traveling with an organized tour or organizing your trip by yourself? There are many benefits of using a travel agent for an abroad trip. For instance, they know what papers you need, like a visa or if traveler's insurance is necessary. They also know the best time to travel, how to get free amenities, etc. Organized tours have many advantages such as the ability to rebook your destination. One reason why people prefer to use a travel agency to visit a foreign country is to not be stressed over arrangements and have fewer responsibilities. However, they have different disadvantages, such as fees for booking flights or not being able to make last-second changes. On the other hand, organized tours are not always cheap. The tour group can be too big, you can miss out on some attractions because they mainly stick to the most touristy attractions. Whether it is an experienced traveler or a normal tourist, the reason to choose to not hire a travel agency service is that it is hard to find a reliable agent and some people also do not like to be limited in any type of way. When it comes to organizing a trip yourself, you get more freedom to choose the option you consider the best. For visiting foreign countries, you can travel at your own pace, choose your routes and most importantly create your itinerary. In the same way, whether you are traveling to China or in your home country, when you organize your trip you save more time and money. Looking for a trusty travel agency can take plenty of time and it can be easier to just book everything yourself when it is last minute trip. You can save money because you are able to look for the prices that suit your budget without having to pay a commission. Many experienced travelers prefer to organize their trips themselves because they do not need to be guided anymore. Nevertheless, normal tourists prefer to make their own reservations to save money, and time and only visit what they want to see. However, planning a trip all by yourself can bring you many problems, such as stress. When you are visiting a foreign country you can face problems such as not knowing what documents, like a visa, are necessary. Nevertheless, another reason why people do not like to organize a trip on their own is that they prefer to do it the “old way”. They feel more comfortable when they are free of big responsibilities and stress. To conclude I can say that I have used both methods to travel both internationally and nationally. Nevertheless, I do prefer to organize the trip myself because that way I have more freedom of choice even if, according to my investigation, hiring a travel agent has more advantages.
