Topic 8: Nowadays celebrities are more famous for their glamour and wealth than for their achievements, and this sets a bad example to young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Nowadays, the entertainment industry is invested extraordinarily by huge investors, therefore, a large number of celebrities appear to amuse viewers. But instead of bringing good influences on the youths, most of them are common with opulence and affluence which is a negative instance for teenagers. Personally, I have no doubt with this opinion First, young people tend to follow celebrities oftenly if they act badly on social media. People wonder if it affects the younger generation in a negative way. Of course it could, some illustrations have proved that if people watch something usually, it may impregnate them. Furthermore, famous people earn money by diverting audiences and become a spotlight in order that they can be invited to advertise for luxury brands. Consequently, Z-gen should not consider them as a role models to learn from them. To cite an example, a movie star in Egypt mentioned in one of his interviews that young people should think twice before imitating others’ behaviors because people always don’t pay any attention to their behaviors in public in many cases. Lastly, because of following famous people oftenly, a huge number of secondary students tend to do the makeup which is unnecessary for school activities. Eventually, some teenagers require their parents to buy expensive items to imitate like their idols despite the fact that their families' conditions are not probably good. To summarize, I fully agree with this view and I hope that adolescents should think carefully before mimicking someone, especially famous people. Since it may influence them shoddily in many cases.
