Today every place is becoming identical
Today every place is becoming identical JP79w
Over the course of human history, various migrations and sea voyages have taken place in order to find lands anew and different from one's homeland and it
continues even today. But, with the advent of globalisation, the experience of travelling to new places is no longer the same, both on a positive and negative
side, about which we will discuss in the ensuing paragraphs.
Firstly, globalisation has to play the most considerable role in the increasing similarities of sceneries in places around the world. With it, came the numerous
companies and brands, which before used to be limited to a certain geographical area in terms of functioning, like internationally popular fast food joints of
McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken to name a few and fashion brands like Versace, Monet and many more. They are the most popular in the public domain and an
international expanse of these companies to various countries, may it be developing or developed, just makes them more readily and easily availaible to people
around the world. Secondly, the ever-growing technology of the internet and mobile phones has connected the world in a way never imagined before. Nowadays,
one can surf the internet and can see and know all about the country they admire, may it be about the culture there or popular tourist destinations or even
local specialties. Internet is almost accesible to everybody around the world and is reaching the corners, where it has not and is making cross-culture exchange
stronger.
However, some people believe that these growing similarities are slowly killing the diversity of most places. Each destination once used to have
its own unique set of traditions, customs, social exchanges but now with such similarities to be found at all places around the world- it has given the world
a certain monotone and at extents, it may seem also seem like everything has been generalised and this sounds daunting to a certain set individuals and believe
that the unique nature of a place and its diversity in itself is a beautiful sight to admire.
To conclude, I most certainly believe that the advantages heavily outweigh the disadvantages as it brought the world and its peole closer than ever and has
made cross-culture exchange take place on a larger scale than ever in human history.
