Young people are much more aware of and concerned about issues like the environment, poverty and animal welfare than previous generations. What is your own opinion? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience

In today’s increasingly progressing society, community problems such as environment, poverty, and education are received attention from several people all over the world. It is argued that the young generation is the only one who can be facing and solve the world’s problems. From my perspective, I partly agree with this statement owning to the following reasons. On the one hand, nowadays young people are exposed to a vast amount of information from sources such as the Internet, social media, or friends. Therefore, the youth’s self-awareness of responsibilities toward these issues has been seen much better than the elder. Take, for instance, environmental destruction as one of the most significant worldwide issues. There are numerous environmental movements organized by youth caring about the conservation of natural resources and areas, global warming, ozone depletion, and plenty of other problems whereas decades ago people squandered all these precious abundances like sacred resources. On the other hand, people who come from the antecedent generation have a tendency to put those practical solutions into action daily. The adult has more experience and extraordinary abilities to carry out the ideas. Take, for example, our water resource is one of the most important of our human life now in danger. The previous generation has brilliant responsibility to save water because they are aware of the deficiency of water in the future, but the youth are producing more waste litter and contaminating oceans, seas, and jungles. They may become a serious threat to the environment, which the next generation will face. In conclusion, young citizens paid attention to the community problems but they are not much better than the antecedent generation.
