The wealth of a nation is said to depend on the health of its citizens. Yet, in the modern knowledge-based economies of the world, education is more and more being seen as the main force in the development of all countries. In what extent do you agree or disagree?

The wealth of a country is decided by the health of its citizens or by their literacy rate. It is a debatable statement that the world’s economy is subject to the education of their citizens and not by their well-being. I totally agree with this opinion. Health is an important factor for a nation to develop. Nowadays, large scale and deadly diseases such as some kinds of cancer are made easy to deal with thanks to modern technology. But the ignorance of good health can lead to the crumbling of a country in the field of prosperity and development. Consequently, most of the leading countries in fields of improving good health follow serious aspects of good health such as providing clean water, healthcare facilities to its general public. Apart from this, a weak person cannot help in developing a nation because more and more money will only be spent on their recovery. However, education is a more important aspect for a country to prosper because every country requires education for the substantial progress of their nations. Education is such a factor of our daily lives that makes them vital. Without education, we are just ciphers. Nothing can affect the developmental process of a country more than its citizens' lack of education. One who is educated can use their knowledge to improve many fields including health. We can only be treated by doctors who have suffered from a long period of studying. If you have good health but you don’t have a good education, you cannot do anything to yourself and to your society. Consequently, those who don’t have a good education are not capable of making their nation prosperity. Another factor which also is necessary for a country to prosper is the government policy. If the country has government policies which are suitable and appropriate to develop the country for their citizens, the economy of that country will rise very quickly. In contrast, if the nation’s government does not make appropriate policies to develop the country, that country will be very likely to decline.
