The advancement of technology has given people many different ways of working. This essay will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of this trend.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why changing ways of working in the era of technological development are beneficial. The development of technology allows people to work anytime, anywhere. They can use laptops and video calls, . . . to discuss work issues with colleagues. It also helps employees unleash their creativity in the working environment they desire, thereby increasing teamwork and work efficiency. For example, many employees of foreign corporations can work from home without having to go to that country to work. That also saves time and money.
On the other hand, there are many disadvantaged ways of working in the digital age that people should take into consideration. In Vietnam, many bosses assign work to employees outside of office hours. That leads to employees having no barrier between work hours and rest time, and their biological clock will be upset. As a result, many employees are overloaded, leading to many diseases. Many countries in Europe have laws that prohibit managers from assigning overtime. In cases where extra work is assigned overtime, it violates their private time and they can sue. During vacation, they always turn off digital devices to enjoy a wonderful vacation.
