Some people feel that life was better in the past when we had less modern technology because things were simpler and less complicated. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

As years passed, we can see that technology has been through a lot of evolution. The belief where some people claim that life in the past was much simpler and easier. This may bring tons of different opinions from person to person. In my view, I completely disagree with this. In the past, life was indeed less complicated but living without technology feels impossible since most of us rely too much on technology. For instance, there were no smartphones in the past leading to difficulties in communication and interactions. So people in the past had met face to face to be able to communicate with each other which made life complex. Nowadays, people can do everything with a click of a hand just by using their mobile phones. For instance, we don't have to go out to buy something we want, we could just use an online shopping app to buy it. This shows that technology has brought convenience to our daily lives. However, most elderly prefer technology in the past compared to the present. They believe that modern technology brings negative effects on young people nowadays such as laziness and addiction to the technology itself. In conclusion, even though technology causes several disadvantages. Humans still depend on technology since technology brings us ease and convenience throughout our lives.
