A glance at the graph provided reveals the data on the United Kingdom's acid rain emissions by millions of tonnes in four distinct fields of the economy over an eight-year period.
On the whole, the amount of acid rain caused by electricity, gas, and water supply saw an exponential decline. Transport and communication, together with other industries, seemed to remain stable; besides, domestic recorded a marginal drop.
