Many people think that positive convert have been made in range and quality of food that they can buy, whereas the rest of people hold the opposite view. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of views and explain why I believe that the advancement in technology can bring merits to everyone. To start with the positive aspect, food production and supply are not subject to seasons and regions any longer, plus the majority foodstuff’s shelf-life are also able to increase. All these changes attribute to the development of greenhouse system, refrigeration, and transport technology. The general public has more opportunities to buy a vast variety of good contrition foodstuff throughout the whole year. For instance, people can get fresh non-seasonal fruits and vegetables in that the greenhouse skills develop; crowd have chance to experience the latest and rare foods such as drinks, meat, and seafood that are from different cities or nations owing to advanced preservation, refrigeration, and transportation technology. With the inclusion of technological and scientific improves, groceries can last for longer time and the degree of freshness is extremely satisfying. Many people thank this variety of choices in groceries to technological and scientific advances. However, not all the technological and scientific advances are beneficial, there are some genetically modified and highly processed food on the markets, that undermine people’s health conditions. Integrating chemistry with foodstuff did have assisted the industrial production in various ways such as increasing the shelf-life of certain geroceries, varying more flavors in drinks by adding some chemical food additives and so on, buy all these must conduct under the sibilance of relevant authorities. If unhealth ingredients are added in food production beyond the required proportion, it will cause chronic disease and have an uncountable implication on human race for a long run. In my perspective of view, I reckoned if national agencies at all levels perform their duties in food safety meticulously, meanwhile, the manufacturers place sufficient importance of each production line about quality and ingredient usage appropriately. Advancement in technology and science can bring more enormous scope and higher character foods to masses of people. To sum up, there is a deniable fact that advanced technology and science bring humans a numerous possibilities and accessibilities to experience and taste a large range of foods from all over the world, yet this requires a premise, manufacturers need to produce qualified productions with caring hearts and powerful responsibilities; Ministries ought not allow those unqualified foods to flock into their own nations to facilitate their citizens to gain more sense of secure in food options.
