STUDYING AT SCHOOL AND AT UNIVERSITY

Some highschool graduates find it hard to adapt to their university studies. However, these students may find some similarities between school and universities despite their differences. Both schools and universities require students to spend time on their self-study. As a matter of fact, high school students are expected to do homework by themselves; similarly, univerity students have to read books for their assignments. In high school, teachers usually assign homework of many subjects to learners and they have to finish in limited time. University students need enroll in various modules and each module also has plenty of assignments. Instead of handing in homework, they must upload on Google classroom on deadlines. Despite their similarity, high school and university are also different in some ways. Firstly, relationships in high school differ the ones at college. Most high school students also keep in touch with their friends who were familiar to them before such as the same town, same background. However, university students usually come from different places, so getting acquainted with new friends is harder. Secondly, life at university is more independent than life in high school. Students in high school have a tendency to rely on others, so they often spend most of time studying and relaxing. However, as university students, they start taking part-time jobs to gain more understanding. They also need learn to complete work themselves, be independent for their future career. In conclusion, high school life and university life have similarities though the two lives differ in some ways. university life makes students more independent to overcome life’s challenges while high school students almost lean on others.
